I've started this web site as a way of sharing the many stories and successes of clinical informatics.
I've been working professionally in the field for about 13 years, and have seen the transformations that clinical informatics has brought to modern healthcare. Along the way, I've also met lots of brilliant informaticists, from different fields, and from all across the globe, who have made truly remarkable discoveries and contributions to clinical workflows, patient safety, and efficiency of care.
These people solve problems, big and small, all through careful analysis, creativity, good design, stamina, and teamwork. Problems solved by clinical informaticists with a passion for making things better.
And yet - There is still scant published evidence available out there. Anecdotes are all around, but real published stories or evidence is hard to find. This makes it hard to find a clinical informaticist, or understand the importance of having them on your team.
With this web site, I'm hoping to change that.
